ScotsCare helps Scots who live in and around London suffering hardship or seeking to rebuild or improve their lives.

Danny
Danny thought he was a born musician and having completed an HND in modern music set out to find a job related to music in order to support him until his dream came true and his band broke into the big-time.

Sadly the band was not successful, and working in a record store did nothing for his dreams of a successful life in London.

Always academic, with an interest in alternative medicine Danny began to think of re-training for a more fulfilling career, whilst always of course having music as a hobby.

His genuine concern for others had been remarked upon by his careers advisers at school, some of whom had suggested that Danny train as a nurse. However hearing about a degree course in Chinese medicine at the University of Westminster, Danny applied and was accepted, ScotsCare have pledged funding for each year, to help with rent and tuition fees and prevent his existing student loan of over £6000 becoming unmanageable.

The results from the last examinations put Danny in the top 10% of his year with the likelihood of several job offers upon qualification.

“I was overjoyed the ScotsCare agreed to support me in an effort to get my BSc, and I really look forward to the day when I can help others, not only in my work, but also a donation to the ScotsCare appeal”
