Struggling Families
You’re not alone
Practical help
At ScotsCare, we know that it’s the little things that can make a difference. That is why we provide you with practical help that can go a long way to ease money worries in the form of grants or the provision of essential household items. Those on low income can be considered for:
- One-off provision of, for example, household items,
- One-off Children's grants to help towards the support and care of children, such as for school uniforms or funding towards a school event.
A chance to get away from it all
For struggling families, a break away can be a distant dream, unobtainable because of financial worries. We believe everyone has the right to have a break occasionally, which is why we organise family trips at Christmas and during the summer holidays, giving everyone a chance to relax and enjoy themselves.
Just a phone call away
ScotsCare’s guiding principle is the promotion of a sense of community. For families living on the poverty line, isolation is a real problem that can impact everyday life. ScotsCare reaches out to every Scottish member of the community, providing a link to a network of like-minded people, all with similar stories to tell and all with first hand experience of life in London as a Scot.
Whether it’s advice on claiming benefits, childcare for working parents, healthcare or just a friendly shoulder to lean on and someone to talk to, ScotsCare is here for you.
