Building a new career with ScotsCare’s help
With the ever-present threat of job losses and redundancy hanging over the heads of many Scots in London, training for a new career can be a costly and risky investment. But with our help, you can make that leap and retrain for a new career.
Helping you carry on studying
If you have lived within 35 miles of Charing Cross for a minimum of two years and are on low income, we may be able to help you with your studies and give you the support you need to carry on your studies. Our training grants help Scots of all ages expand their skills base and break into a new line of work every year by providing a little extra financial support for fees, course books and even computers. If your training will help you secure future employment, we’re there to help you achieve your goals.
It’s who you know…
ScotsCare can also help with advice on retraining for life. Our network of contacts throughout London means that we are ideally placed to put potential employers in touch with Scots who tick all the right boxes. We can even help you with simple, practical advice on what to wear, how to present yourself and how to give yourself the best chance of securing a new job through training.
Each year ScotsCare helps around 100 students and others through training to make a career move that was right for them. We’re carrying on this work every year, so if you’re Scottish or have a parent that was born in Scotland and need help to retrain for a new career, contact us now to see how we can help you.
