"At one point I thought I would have to drop out of University. ScotsCare have invested in my future and I won't let them down."
Grants to students on low incomes
Sandy's story | Danny's story | Tommy's story
Sandy
Sandy has just begun a full time degree course in Business Management. She lives with her father and sister in temporary accommodation and is waiting to be re-housed in the near future. Her father has just completed an alcohol rehabilitation programme and is currently in receipt of Income Support so can’t help Sandy financially.
Sandy has applied for a student loan via her local education authority. She is also currently working part time at the weekends and earning approximately £200 per month. With only £200 in savings, she is desperate for some help to reach her goal of a career in human resource management.
As Sandy’s father was born in Scotland, she was eligible for a ScotsCare student grant.
